The Statement of Results
Hard-copy Statements of Results can be collected from the British Council soon after the awarding bodies release online results. The Statement of Results contains provisional results, which allows you to request a result enquiry from the awarding body.
When collecting your Statement of Results and certificate, you must bring a valid form of ID. Only a parent/guardian can collect results on your behalf. They
must bring a valid ID, an authorisation letter from you and your Statement of Entry (SoE).
Important notes about UK international qualification certificates
Final and official
The certificate shows your final grades and cannot be changed.
Lost or uncollected certificates
If your certificate is lost, damaged, or not collected, you must contact the relevant UK-based awarding body (Cambridge, Pearson or OxfordAQA) directly to request a certifying statement. The British Council cannot issue a replacement.

Exam remarks and retakes
Sometimes, candidates don't get the results they were expecting on their International GCSEs, O Levels, or A/AS Levels. If this happens, you can consider either a re-marking of your exam or a retake. An exam is considered a retake (or resit) if you've previously sat the same syllabus within the past year. Result enquiries typically take six to eight weeks to process.
Enquiries about results and remarking
If you feel your test day performance wasn't accurately reflected in your score, you can ask your UK-based Awarding Body for a review. Private candidates can get support from the British Council for Enquiries about Results (EAR).

Attestation and certificate verification
In some countries, the British Council may provide an attestation service to our valued customers who may be worried about mailing their original academic documents abroad for a university application. This process certifies that a photocopy of your IGCSE, International GCSE, O Level, or AS/A Level certificate is a true copy of the original document.
